Dear HJIS Community,
Please be aware that the HJIS College Fair scheduled for tomorrow at 2:30 – 4:30 PM will still be held as planned.
The following precautionary measures will be taken:
- All guests arriving at our school will be required to undergo a temperature check prior to entering the building. Any individuals recording a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or higher, will not be permitted to enter.
- All guests will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to entering. Also, they have been asked to come to the event with personal protective equipment (face masks). Additional masks will be provided if necessary.
- We have asked all guests recently diagnosed with the flu or displaying flu-like symptoms such as a fever, chills, sore throat, cough, runny or stuffy nose, muscle / body aches, headache, fatigue, etc. to not attend the event.
- Our school nurse will be present, supporting the event entrance by examining and assessing any possible complications.
- Guests with any recent travel to not only China, Macau, and Hong Kong, but also Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, and/or Malaysia have been asked not to attend the event.
Please note: A relatively small number of guests will be visiting our school. These guests (all working or associated with Japanese Colleges, International Schools, etc.) have been under the same guidance, direction, and restrictions given to all educational sites around Japan. This event in particular does not pose any more of a health risk than our community experiences daily (e.g. using public transportation).
At this time, no additional guidance has been provided by the Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education in relation to holding school events. As always, we will continue to follow any updates provided to us by this organisation.
